Tasting for a Cause

Toasting for a Cause is an annual fundraiser and one that our community of supporters anxiously looks forward to. Each year we host the event at local restaurant. We employ a professional auctioneer for a “Fund a Need” and they also  execute a high end raffle or live auction of a very limited number of exquisite luxury items, such as jewelry, trips or exclusive sporting event tickets. If we utilize a live auction, we limit the number of items to 2 or 3.
This year, we will host our event at Catch35 in Naperville, on Monday, November 13th. The chef and wine steward have prepared a luscious menu, perfectly paired with select wines. I have attached a copy of our invitation for you, the menu is listed on the front side. We anticipate to selling out the entire restaurant, which seats 130 diners. It will be a wonderful evening full of great food, fantastic wines and an inspiring story shared by a former client.

A Chair Affair

A Chair Affair - a fundraiser to benefit Bridge Communities

With a quick glance, a reclaimed chair may not seem like much.
But the old chairs on display throughout downtown Naperville Thursday through June 9 have been transformed into beautiful pieces of art that beckon for a new life inside a home.
The transformation of the chairs is similar to what Bridge Communities tries to do when it helps families that are homeless, officials said. While they may feel discarded, there is a lot that can be done to give them hope and new life.
And both are an integral part of "A Chair Affair," a fundraiser to benefit Bridge Communities, which offers transitional housing and support services to homeless families in DuPage County, including many families in Naperville.

"CAMP went really well - the participants all had a great time and the parents were thrilled to be able to hire two teachers instead of one and a parent volunteer each day. We have you to thank for that! Also, we bought new t-shirts (your logo included!) that they wore each day and are continuing to wear each time we meet. The activities (train to Chicago, paddleboats, Carillon tour, bowling, swimming) were all covered as well."

"It feels so magnificent and exciting to come home each night to such a beautiful new place. It's funny, because at the end of the work day I feel the same old grind, but then this big flash of excitement and renewal crosses my brain as I remember what I am driving home to…it is very neat to get that jolt at the end of the day." - Megan

M. Brown & Associates is proud to have been part of Jim's Home Makeover Project

Well, I must say that an amazing transformation took place at Jim's home! We arrived to get rid of stuff while Jim sorted through everything. Two wonderfully hard working cleaning ladies arrived at 11am and worked until 5pm. They were really the backbone of the blessing. We threw out 95 percent of Jim's "food" and replaced it with $120 worth of food that was purchased from Aldi's. In addition, there was a donation of cleaning supplies, 2 boxes of food/toiletries and a homemade meal. We moved out Jim's old, ratty, torn, stained couch and brought in a free beautiful "new" used one that the Lord literally led me to.

All glory, honor and praise goes to the Lord as He moved his people to shine the light of Jesus's love upon Jim!!!

A big THANK YOU goes to Mark Brown for paying for the cleaning ladies!!
