With a quick glance, a reclaimed chair may not seem like much.
But the old chairs on display throughout downtown Naperville Thursday through June 9 have been transformed into beautiful pieces of art that beckon for a new life inside a home.
The transformation of the chairs is similar to what Bridge Communities tries to do when it helps families that are homeless, officials said. While they may feel discarded, there is a lot that can be done to give them hope and new life.
And both are an integral part of “A Chair Affair,” a fundraiser to benefit Bridge Communities, which offers transitional housing and support services to homeless families in DuPage County, including many families in Naperville.
